At For Serious Info, I’ll be talking about local niche blogging. The Internet is a powerful tool. Quite possibly humanity’s greatest achievement to date. And now that the industry has conquered the global economy, it seeks to bring the internet “down to” the local level. I think that should happen in reverse. I think the local level should take itself to the web. Why continue to let outside influencers dominate the local conversation?
It’s time for locals to show everyone what we’ve got. Local businesses, citizen journalists, and anyone else who wants to have a voice and be part of the conversations happening online about where they live can make it happen. And this is where they’ll learn how.
On another note, the emphasis on seriousness you might notice around here is a joke. “As you think, so you become.” I try to be as low key as possible. But I also believe in not wasting people’s time. I’m not going to pump out tons of content for this site. I”m going to put out informative, useful posts that hopefully give you something to put to use immediately on your local niche blog.
